Requirements
Before creating a feed:
- You must have the Manage Server permission.
- Strom must have permission to:
- View Channels
- Send Messages
- Embed Links
- Attach Files (recommended)
Create a Feed
- Open the Strom Dashboard.
- Navigate to Social Feeds.
- Click Create Feed.
- Select a platform.
- Enter the account, channel, or feed URL.
- Select a Discord channel for notifications.
- Save the configuration.
Once configured, Strom will automatically monitor the source and post updates.
Kick feeds
Choose Kick when creating a feed, enter the creator’s Kick channel, select the Discord notification channel, and save. Strom monitors the creator for new live streams and sends the configured notification to Discord. You can edit, disable, or remove the Kick feed later from the Social Feeds dashboard.
GitHub feeds
GitHub feeds monitor repositories selected during the Strom GitHub App installation and can announce:
- Branch pushes
- Published releases
- Opened, reopened, closed, or merged pull requests
- Opened, reopened, or closed issues
To create one, choose GitHub and install the Strom GitHub App on the repository. Return to the dashboard, enter owner/repository or the full repository URL, and select Search. After Strom confirms the App installation, choose at least one event type, select the Discord broadcast channel, customize the embed, and save.
GitHub sends signed webhook updates to Strom when activity happens. Strom queues each delivery and broadcasts only new events received after the feed was created. It does not poll GitHub’s repository activity API. Archived repositories are not supported.
